Blue Oyster Poster Series.

Blue Oyster is an Art/Project Space in Dunedin, NZ. I've been designing posters for their shows since December 2014. The goal so far has been to make each poster unique by drawing content from the premise of each exhibition, while also keeping some thread of consistency evident throughout the whole endeavour. For me, this continues to be an experiment in how far I can push each design in its own direction, and I've also tried to use system fonts I'd never usually use—distorting them, or playing with arrangement. There's a few things that remain consistent throughout the whole series; the grid used for the information set in Arial is the same; each poster uses the title of the show as it's main visual element; and all posters are two colour Risograph prints.
